Spicy Herb and Tomato Cheez Spread

1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1/4 cup oat flour or chickpea flour
1 cup water
2 Tablespoons ketchup
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon pepper
pinch of cayenne

1. Place the nutritional yeast flakes and flour in a medium bowl. Gradually whisk in the water, taking care to avoid lumps.
2. Whisk in remaining ingredients until smooth
3. Pour into a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring or whisking constantly until very thick and smooth.
4. Serve hot, warm, or thoroughly chilled. Keeps about 5 to 7 days in the refrigerator.
