Pizza Crust

Servings: 4

1/2 cup warm water
1 package (1 Tablespoon) dry baking yeast
1 teaspoon sugar or honey
1/4 cup oil (may cut in half)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (more or less as needed)

1. Combine and mix water, baking yeast, and sweetener.
2. Add oil, salt and flour then knead for about 3 minutes, adding flour as needed to firm dough.
3. Roll out dough into a circle with rolling pin or pat out directly onto sprayed pizza pan. For a crisper crust, pre-bake the crust about 5 minutes at 450 degree F before adding the sauce and toppings.

Makes one pizza crust. Pizza Assembling Directions: Ingredients: Pizza Crust, Pizza Sauce, Pizza Cheese Sauce and vegetables of your choice (see suggestions below). Insturctions: Spread pre-baked crust with pizza sauce, sliced vegetables and shredded vege-cheeses (or make Pizza Cheese Sauce and drizzle over the vegetables of your choice). Start and end with vege-cheese layers to hold vegetables in place. Sliced vegetable suggestions: sliced olives, bell pepper, mushrooms, onion, artichoke hearts, zucchini, spinach, fresh whole sweet basil leaves, tomatoes, pineapple tidbits.
