Hurry-Up Hearty Hash

2 cups shredded potatoes
2 cups cooked brown rice
1/2 cup sautéed onions
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped Brazil nuts
1/4 cup nutritional food yeast flakes
2 Tablespoons oil
1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
2 Tablespoons soy sauce

1. Wash the potatoes well and remove any spots.
2. Shred on a medium shredder.
3. Combine all ingredients. (The flake yeast adds a savory flavor and enhances the protein value.)
4. Stir enough to mix well.
5. Turn into a lightly oiled skillet at 350°F.
6. Cover and let cook until nicely browned, about 10 minutes. Scrape from bottom and turn. Cover and

let cook 10 min. longer. Stir, reduce the heat, and let cook an additional 5 minutes.
