Healthy Bruschetta

1 loaf Italian or French bread one pound, sliced and toasted in oven for 2 minutes per side
1 1/2 pounds tomatoes diced (3 medium)
1 cup firmly packed fresh basil leaves slivered with knife
3 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons onions diced
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt

1. Toss everything except the bread in a bowl and set aside at room temperature. Serve with the warm toasted slices of bread, spooning mixture on top just before eating.
