Ingredients
- 1 loaf Italian or French bread one pound, sliced and toasted in oven for 2 minutes per side
- 1 1/2 pounds tomatoes diced (3 medium)
- 1 cup firmly packed fresh basil leaves slivered with knife
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons onions diced
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Toss everything except the bread in a bowl and set aside at room temperature. Serve with the warm toasted slices of bread, spooning mixture on top just before eating.
