Dad’s Whole Wheat Bread

My dad is a retired mechanical engineer and I never remember him cooking anything while I was growing up, except every now and then he would whip up some super-hearty pancakes. I mean, if you ate one of his pancakes, it was a full meal. He has always been really good at fixing cars, but cooking? Nahh…until lately. He got interested in the bread machine and really took off. Through trial and error he developed a recipe that really does seem perfect–at least we really like it. It’s for a 2 pound loaf, and here it is!

Dad's Whole Wheat Bread
  1. Place yeast, oil, and agave nectar in the bottom of a bread machine, let sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and start the bread machine into its cycle.
