Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup water (separate from the first 1/2 cup)
- 1 cup non-dairy milk of choice
- 2 Tablespoons carob powder
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar, honey or stevia to taste, optional
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/8 teaspoon salt, optional

Instructions
- Heat the 1/2 cup water and the dates while getting the rest of the ingredients together.
- Add all ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower heat to low and cook for 10 minutes or more,
- Serve with a sprinkle (1 Tablespoon or less) of mini chocolate chips and whipped coconut milk topping (optional).
