Author: Adapted from The Guilt-Free Gourmet ~ This recipe calls for 6 cups of tomato juice. I like to use a 46 ounce can of vegetable juice, such as V-8 Vegetable juice. I have found that the store brand is cheaper and have found the flavor preferable to the national brand.

Ingredients
- 6 cups tomato juice
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons onion powder
- 1 pinch oregano powder (about 1/16 tsp.)
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet basil
- 1 teaspoon Vege-Sal by Spike
- 1 1/2 teaspoons McKay’s Chicken Seasoning
Blend for 1 minute
- 1 cup raw cashews
- 1 cup water
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 1 Tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes

Blend for 1 minute

Instructions
- Combine blended ingredients with all other ingredients in a large pot, stirring constantly.
- Bring to a boil and serve, or remove from burner to prevent burning.
- May add 1 c. mixed vegetables if desired.
